The Covid-19 Tale

As long as the sun still rises, there is HOPE!

This virus with strains that change like hankies has become a pain in the neck.

Knowing that reports claim that it hailed from Wuhan China, leaving aside the American lab rumor. Anyway here after it

The Corona virus in itself is called so because of their appearance: “corona” means “crown.” The virus’s outer layers are covered with spike proteins that surround them like a crown.

Earlier we had heard about the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). In 2003, an outbreak of SARS affected people in several countries before ending in 2004. The coronavirus that causes COVID-19 is similar to the one that caused the 2003 SARS outbreak.

Since the 2019 coronavirus is related to the original coronavirus that caused SARS and can also cause severe acute respiratory syndrome, there is “SARS” in its name: SARS-CoV-2.

Much is still unknown about these viruses, but SARS-CoV-2 (covid-19) spreads faster and farther than the 2003 SARS-CoV-1 virus. This is likely because of how easily it is transmitted person to person, even from asymptomatic carriers of the virus.

Now before all this, the world covid virginity was broken on Dec. 1, 2019, as reported and the cause was a then-new coronavirus later named SARS-CoV-2.

This was assumed to may have originated in an animal and changed (mutated) so it could cause illness in humans. In the past, several infectious disease outbreaks have been traced to viruses originating in birds, pigs, bats and other animals that mutated to become dangerous to humans. Research continues, and more study may reveal how and why the coronavirus evolved to cause pandemic disease.

Now this virus comes in a whole pakage inclusive of variants just as it’s associate the common flue.

There variants of this coronavirus. Like other viruses,as said earlier, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 can change (mutate). Like it always dines with other virus, study there weaknesses then become better at is fatal job.

As expected, though shockingly, in December 2020, B.1.1.7, a new variant, was identified in the United Kingdom, and since then, variants have appeared in other locations around the world, including B.1.351, first isolated in South Africa, and others. Mutations may enable the coronavirus to spread faster from person to person, and may cause more severe disease. More infections can result in more people getting very sick and also create more opportunity for the virus to develop further mutations.

Just like any other virus terms like incubation period arent excused. Therein it’s symptoms show up in people within two (2) to fourteen (14) days of exposure to the virus. A person infected with the coronavirus is contagious to others for up to two days before symptoms appear, and they remain contagious to others for 10 to 20 days, depending upon their immune system and the severity of their illness.

For the globe to run over this stumpeed, coronaviruses should be articulated and deeply studied.

A deeper insight, the coronaviruses are common in different animals. Rarely, an animal coronavirus can infect humans.

These submission suggest that there are countless shades of this virus. Some of them can cause colds or other mild respiratory (nose, throat, lung) illnesses. Others can cause serious diseases, including severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).

Now what we y’all have to take heed of are the symptoms, these are inclusive of;

°Cough

°Fever or chills

°Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

°Muscle or body aches

°Sore throat

°New loss of taste or smell

°Diarrhea

°Headache

°New fatigue

°Nausea or vomiting

°Congestion or runny nose

Some people infected with the coronavirus have mild COVID-19 illness, and others have no symptoms at all. In some cases, however, COVID-19 can lead to respiratory failure, lasting lung and heart muscle damage, nervous system problems, kidney failure or death.

If you have a fever or any of the symptoms listed above, call your doctor or a health care provider and explain your symptoms over the phone before going to the doctor’s office, urgent care facility or emergency room. Here are suggestions if you feel sick and are concerned you might have COVID-19.

Fair enough, the virus can be diagnosed.

….this ain’t a good place to be….

COVID-19 is diagnosed through a laboratory test. Diagnosis by examination alone is difficult since many COVID-19 signs and symptoms can be caused by other illnesses. Some people with the coronavirus do not have symptoms at all.

Now what the world is all waiting focus here. Treatment! But for all those that have studied basic biology, a virus can’t be destroyed, though it’s about aiding the body to do it by squeezing all it’s symptoms.

Treatment for COVID-19 addresses the signs and symptoms of the infection and supports people with more severe disease. For mild cases of coronavirus disease, your doctor may recommend measures such as fever reducers or over-the-counter medications.

More severe cases may require hospital care, where a patient may receive a combination of treatments that could include steroids, oxygen, mechanical breathing support and other COVID-19 treatments in development. Infusions of monoclonal antibodies given to certain patients early in the infection may reduce the symptoms, severity and duration of the illness.

Later, after lots of research has been taken, lots of home care aids have been recommended inclusive of steaming (highly recommended), taking of a combination of fruits basically to aid vitamin C levels, not forgetting exercises therein sunlight exposure for vitamin D.

Just like the old tale prevention is better than cure, vaccines have been introduced to curb it or rather aid the body incase of exposure, though there fidelity is questioned as the virus mutates every now and then.

Precautions such as mask-wearing, physical distancing and hand hygiene should continue regardless of a person’s vaccination status to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

More onto vacines;

Now, or never……if you can’t stay home, get the shot!

Vaccines are now authorized to prevent infection with SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. But until more is understood about how the vaccines affect a person’s ability to transmit the virus,

COVID-19 vaccination will help protect you from getting COVID-19. You may have some side effects, which are normal signs that your body is building protection. These side effects may affect your ability to do daily activities, but they should go away in a few days. Some people have no side effects.

Common Side Effects will include;

On the arm where you got the shot:
-Pain
-Redness
-Swelling
-Throughout the rest of your body:
-Tiredness
-Headache
-Muscle pain
-Chills
-Fever
-Nausea

Helpful Tips to Relieve Side Effects

Talk to your doctor about taking over-the-counter medicine, such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, aspirin, or antihistamines, for any pain and discomfort you may experience after getting vaccinated. You can take these medications to relieve post-vaccination side effects if you have no other medical reasons that prevent you from taking these medications normally.

It is not recommended you take these medicines before vaccination for the purpose of trying to prevent side effects.

To reduce pain and discomfort where you got the shot
-Apply a clean, cool, wet washcloth over the area.
-Use or exercise your arm.
-To reduce discomfort from fever
-Drink plenty of fluids.
-Dress lightly.

Now these vaccines include questions around them.

Side effects after your second shot may be more intense than the ones you experienced after your first shot. These side effects are normal signs that your body is building protection and should go away within a few days.

When to Call the Doctor!
In most cases, discomfort from pain or fever is a normal sign that your body is building protection. Contact your doctor or healthcare provider:

If the redness or tenderness where you got the shot gets worse after 24 hours

If your side effects are worrying you or do not seem to be going away after a few days

If you get a COVID-19 vaccine and you think you might be having a severe allergic reaction after leaving the vaccination site, seek immediate medical care.

Remember;
Side effects can affect your ability to do daily activities, but they should go away in a few days.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine and Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine both need 2 shots in order to get the most protection. You should get the second shot even if you have side effects after the first shot, unless a vaccination provider or your doctor tells you not to get it.

You only need 1 shot of the Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen (J&J/Janssen) COVID-19 Vaccine to get the most protection.

It takes time for your body to build protection after any vaccination. People are considered fully vaccinated after a few days.

Understanding How COVID-19 Vaccines Work
Learn how the body fights infection and how COVID-19 vaccines protect people by producing immunity. vaccines arecurrently are available. And hopefully by the end of the G7 meeting where one billion vaccines are being pledged, increased accessibility is expected.

Finally,

AstraZeneca and Oxford’s vaccine is 76% effective.

The AZD1222 vaccine (Vaxzevria) also uses the coronavirus’ protein gene in an inactivated common cold virus to stimulate the immune system. Based on its U.S. phase III clinical trial, the vaccine is 76% effective.

The U.K. authorized the vaccine for emergency use based on prior phase III trials in the U.K. and other countries. Dozens of other countries are also administering the AstraZeneca vaccine, but the U.S. has not authorized it for emergency use. Similar to the Janssen/J&J COVID-19 vaccine, there is a link between life-threatening blood clots occurring within two weeks of AZD1222 vaccination, as reported by the European Medicines Agency (equivalent to the U.S. FDA). This adverse event is very rare—222 cases reported out of 34 million people vaccinated across Europe and the U.K.—but some cases have been fatal.

In a bit shell, all is trying to be done, but stay home and take refuge till all this is gone, or we have a clear way forward. All these energies won’t be of use when you are dead, but rather after you keep your self well, till then,

May God protect you.

This is the time we not only need vaccines or whatsoever, but utmost brotherhood now and forever regardless of the distance and the countless lockdowns

To my mother Africa

Where are you?
You who claims to be first line of defense
You whose blood I share
You who I thought I was priority
You once upon a time my shield

You who’s DNA I solemnly have a copy
You who claims all my works,
Should be in line with your plan
You who impersonated my decision

You whose choice would prefer me behind bars,
If that’s the price to get your ways through
You who d’aint know an error is a step closer,
Not to your preference but success

You who rapes me of reality by taking asking me to,
Seek solace in the sugar you slipped on the table
Why do all my thoughts look fraud and un-attainable
You who d’aint teach me how to fly in the storm

You who claims I will be safer in the nest you built
You who has hidden from reality
You can’t save me from the storm once it hits the nest
I wish for once you can remember that you’re mortal

Nobody can tell how long life is
But for sure it’s short
Lemme seize my moment.

Politically influenced Christianity vibe

As I begin this piece allow me start with a disclaimer. Over the years wars have been held as though only white and black races exist, as if African Americans are the only people who have faced the heart of prejudice, racism, discrimination as the problem yet those are symptoms of the disease.
On behalf of my blacks, when it comes to social injustice resolute not only focus on skill giving birth to pastors preaching political propaganda upon the pulpit, presenting present situations from scriptural perspectives and literally proud of the preeminence of God as if he owns the skeptical advent.
Beloved, what you haven’t realized is that when we choose to depend on ourselves to solve issues such as prejudice, racism, discrimination and police brutality we are giving headache medicine to a flue victim literally chewing the symptom but not the sickness and we as Christians trying to approach this issue if am to put it biblically, knowing that the symptom is social injustice but the sickness is sin.
So if the sickness is sin, we as Christians realize that true slavery is not slavery to the system but slavery to sin and that we may discriminate against one another but sin and Satan have no prejudice and he will use everything from the ignorant basis to the ignorant Christians to strike confusion among the people of God.
Ideally, in times like these it’s imperative that we fathom that the solution is not sanction its salvation. That we can impose laws and ACTs against man’s immorality but its only God who can establish his kingdom in a man’s heart, that we can tell a man that he is free but only God that can break the chains.
Then if sin is the sickness let a prescription of the gospel be injected for we can be free from social injustice, prejudice and in one’s heart still be enslaved because it’s beautiful to be black but miraculous to be saved. The back bone of social injustice is that there is enmity between you and I because I believe that my ways are better than your sand at the heart of sin there was enmity between we and God because we believed that our ways were better than Gods and am astonished how we attack sin yet it’s us not receiving HIM.
Am amazed how we quickly withhold grace from those who need it yet we receive much more than we deserve. Brethren, this is a rebuke but a plead that we fight sin with salvation and we become confident that our present suffering will fed away to the Glory that will be revealed to all that have called upon Him the alpha, Omega, the author of love to intervene in any odd kind of sin. Be strong in the lord and beckon on the power of his mind put on the whole amour God so that no way will be able to stand against the world we fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities, the rulers of the earth, spiritual wickedness and hide places.
Therefore; have the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness and use your feet stand with the preparation of the gospel of peace above all take the shield of faith were you shall be able to conquer all dirt’s of the wicked, helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God pray always with all prayers and supplication of the spirit and watching their with prepared arms and supplication of for all sins. Yours sincerely,
Blessed Sunday.

Introduction.

Alas! It’s EphraimByamugisha, a passionate writer who wants to stand against all odds and make an earth shaking difference.

This is when it comes to systems namely, tax Justice, political and democracy, especially the cotted pain of a dying parliament as on countless times become an executive arm baite.

Sadly, these were meant to raise people in a society but sadly because of an untold tale, them swallow up dreams and greatness.

  • Knowing that millions of people from countless of walks of life are being compromised from a system that is being dearly paid for.
  • Inclusive of an end to Robinhoodism art of politics, where it isn’t the kind of stealing from the rich to give to the poor but the case in point of stealing from the poor to go appeasment to the very poor.
  • Slight biography.

Anyway, before all this, I was born in Mulago Referral Hospital, possibly the best one then, and spending my early childhood in kitante Primary School one rooted next to the Uganda muesm all in kitante a surbub next to heart of the city. Till till shortly past my four year, them to kisaasi where the house was countless times larger the original……..lots after in a post sooner than later.

  • Countless dreams and wishful hopes of a difference in the African body politic has been the mothers milk to this blog.
  • I intend to write intensively on the problems and fuel the pistons of African sovereignty.
  • It would be an honor to relate with every single person with a dream, especially one whose hope is fueled by unquenched thirst of a system.
  • If all goes south, I intend to create a portal for dialogue and manouver through this outrageous wish.

Anyway out of the political propaganda, this blog will compromise of various shades of my writings more emphasis on eassays, research and poetry. With a clear aim of touch all peoples in there rest zones.

Lemme get this straight.

Effective world pressure can force such are deployment, but world
pressure is not exercised by
appeals, however eloquent, or
by arguments, however
convincing.

It is only achievedby deeds. It is necessary to secure a world realignment sothat those who are at the moment the helpless victims
of a system will be able in the
future to exert a counter
pressure.

Such counter pressures do not lead to war.
On the contrary, it is often their absence which constitutes the threat to peace.

As always said since to man has learnt shooting without missing, enkonbe “dove” the bird has learned to fly without perching, I rest my case.
